Trump Media (DJT) Stock Surges 18% on $6 Billion Fusion Power Merger with TAE Technologies
Trump Media & Technology Group's shares soared 18% to $12.33 in premarket trading following its announcement of an all-stock merger with fusion energy firm TAE Technologies. The deal, valued at $6 billion, will create one of the world's first publicly traded fusion companies.
The combined entity plans to develop fusion power plants specifically targeting electricity needs for AI data centers. TRUMP Media will contribute up to $300 million in cash to TAE, with construction of the first utility-scale plant slated for 2026. Shareholders of both companies will maintain equal 50% stakes in the merged business.
